If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Romans 8:31-32
It’s a scary world out there. I hear a lot of folks talking about the state of the nation and the world, about evil in the hearts of men. This summer I have been studying postmodernism in preparation for teaching a class on worldview. The past few days I’ve been reading about Nietzsche and his philosophy, his declaration that God is dead. It can be very discouraging, but then there’s Romans 8.
If God the Father was willing to sacrifice His own Son for us, is He then going to throw up His hands and give up? No! He will continue to work all things together for good–ALL THINGS, no matter how bad the world gets. He is all we need. He will give us the strength, the wisdom, the courage, the words, to face each day. He promised. I trust Him.
